The Lancasters Project

Nestled in the heart of London, directly across from the serene expanse of Hyde Park, The Lancasters stands as one of the city’s most prestigious addresses.

Miaki is delighted to unveil our latest transformation: a stunning three-bedroom apartment that blends historic charm with modern sophistication.

Located within a unique architectural setting, the apartment spans three levels: a lower ground floor, a ground floor, and a mezzanine that overlooks the reception room. This distinctive layout posed a creative challenge—to seamlessly connect the spaces while maintaining the apartment’s inherent charm. Our design approach prioritised creating a sense of flow and openness, allowing natural light to enhance every corner of the home.

The design concept was centred on balancing heritage and modernity. By focusing on calm, neutral tones and layered textures, we crafted an inviting atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and versatile. The project’s goal was clear: to make the apartment market-ready while appealing to a broad audience with diverse lifestyles and tastes.

The design’s cohesive palette is rooted in earthy neutrals and soft, understated tones. Warm chocolate browns, creamy beiges, and caramel taupes create a sense of harmony throughout the apartment. Textural elements, from natural stone to bespoke leathers, add depth and dimension, while carefully chosen artwork introduces subtle pops of colour that provide moments of contrast and personality.

Reception Room

At the heart of the home is the reception room, a dramatic and inviting space highlighted by the mezzanine view above. The furniture selection, including modern curved upholstery, complements the room’s ornate architectural mouldings, achieving a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary elements. A layered lighting scheme—with grand chandeliers, intimate reading lights, and statement pendants—adds depth and warmth, making this room equally suited for entertaining and relaxation.

Kitchen & Dining

The kitchen and dining areas are defined by sleek functionality and understated elegance. Neutral tones are paired with luxurious materials such as natural stone, creating a space that is as practical as it is beautiful. The dining furniture was carefully chosen for its adaptability, effortlessly transitioning from intimate family meals to lively dinner parties.

Bedrooms

Each bedroom serves as a calm sanctuary, designed with bespoke headboards, soft boucle fabrics, and carefully curated lighting. The earthy palette—featuring caramel taupes, creamy neutrals, and warm chocolate browns—creates a soothing environment that encourages relaxation. Every detail was considered to balance style and functionality, ensuring that these spaces feel personal and inviting.

Mezzanine

The mezzanine, overlooking the reception room, is a standout feature that adds architectural intrigue to the home. This flexible space can be used as a reading nook, home office, or additional lounge area, making it a versatile addition that enhances the apartment’s sense of connection and flow.

The Lancasters project was completed in just 12 weeks, reflecting the efficiency and dedication of the Miaki team. By combining thoughtful design with seamless execution, we delivered a space that embodies timeless elegance while catering to modern living. From custom-made furniture to layered lighting, every element was curated to elevate the home’s beauty and functionality.

As we proudly reveal this project, we invite you to explore the world of Miaki—a world where every detail matters and every space tells a story. Whether you’re seeking inspiration or planning your design journey, we’re here to bring your vision to life.
