Mia’s Greek Island Escape: Tinos and Antiparos
Odera Tinos, Tinos Island, Greece
Mia began her summer journey on the tranquil island of Tinos, staying at the newly opened Odera Tinos. This hotel is a stunning representation of Cycladic architecture, fused with modern design elements. The typical whitewashed walls, minimalist interiors, and clever use of natural light create a serene and sophisticated environment. The outdoor areas, offering breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea, provided Mia with a wealth of inspiration. The combination of traditional and contemporary elements in this space is sure to influence our upcoming projects with its effortless blend of old and new.
The Roosters, Antiparos Island, Greece
Mia’s next destination was the charming island of Antiparos, where she visited The Roosters. The hotel's design is an exquisite example of how modern aesthetics can be seamlessly integrated into the natural landscape. With its earthy tones and understated elegance, The Roosters left a lasting impression, highlighting the beauty of simplicity and the power of thoughtful design. The tranquil ambience of the hotel, coupled with its connection to the surrounding nature, offered Mia a fresh perspective on integrating organic elements into interior spaces.
Andrew’s Italian Inspirations and Portuguese Reflections
Naples, Capri, Ischia, Amalfi Coast, and Positano, Italy
Andrew's journey through Italy's coastal gems provided a rich tapestry of inspiration. In Naples, the rustic charm of weathered walls and wrought-iron details captivated him, offering ideas for incorporating aged textures into modern interiors. The timeless elegance of Capri, with its crisp white walls against the deep blue sea, inspired thoughts on blending indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly, creating a luxurious yet natural atmosphere.
The lush landscapes of Ischia and the dramatic cliffs of the Amalfi Coast showcased nature's palette, with earthy tones and vibrant blues that Andrew envisions integrating into design projects. In Portugal’s Douro Valley, Andrew found inspiration in the harmonious blend of nature and design. The terraced vineyards and serene river views highlighted the beauty of simplicity and structure, encouraging him to explore designs that complement the natural surroundings. The region’s modern, minimalist architecture, offering expansive views of the landscape, inspired thoughts on creating serene, connected spaces that serve as peaceful retreats.

Lucy’s Italian and Greek Inspirations: Brindisi, Delphi, and Monemvasia
Brindisi, Italy
Lucy’s summer began in the picturesque city of Brindisi, Italy. Known for its rich history and stunning coastal views, Brindisi provided Lucy with an abundance of design inspiration. The city’s historic architecture, combined with its vibrant street life, offered a perfect blend of old-world charm and contemporary flair. The intricate details of Brindisi’s ancient buildings, with their ornate façades and rustic beauty, sparked new ideas for incorporating historical elements into modern designs.
Delphi and Monemvasia, Greece
Lucy continued her journey in Greece, visiting Delphi and Monemvasia. In Delphi, the ancient ruins and the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains created a profound sense of connection to the past. The simplicity and grandeur of the ancient structures inspired Lucy to explore how minimalist design can evoke a strong emotional response.
In Monemvasia, a medieval fortress town, Lucy found inspiration in the blend of rugged landscapes and historical architecture. The town’s narrow streets, stone buildings, and panoramic sea views provided a wealth of ideas for creating spaces that are both intimate and expansive, grounded in history yet open to the future.
Kalliopi’s Artistic Retreat: Peru, Lima
Second Home Peru, Lima
Kalliopi’s summer adventure took her to the vibrant neighbourhood of Barranco in Lima, Peru, where she stayed at the boutique hotel, Second Home Peru. This unique property, perched on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, is the former residence of Victor Delfín, one of Peru’s most celebrated contemporary artists. The hotel is a haven of creativity, with Delfín’s sculptures and paintings adorning every corner. The historic mansion, with its blend of traditional Republican architecture and modern artistic touches, provided Kalliopi with endless inspiration.
The hand-carved wooden doors, original fireplaces, and mosaic tiles throughout the mansion are a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship of the early 1900s. The bohemian spirit of Barranco, combined with the artistic legacy of Delfín, left a lasting impression on Kalliopi, inspiring her to explore the fusion of art and architecture in her future designs.
