Designer’s Foreword

As we are increasingly seeking meaning in our homes, it is becoming evident that we want to occupy spaces that tell stories. Luxury is to be found in objects and spaces that are imbued with character. More and more we are searching for homes that reflect our personalities.

What guides our creative journey is the relationship we build with our clients. As interior designers, we often need to read between the lines to understand the aspirations desires and style of a client and our job is often to show people things and make them feel emotions that they hadn’t dreamt of.

It’s crucial that we approach different tones, materials and textures to different zones of a house. While a bedroom can be more pared-back and tranquil, a living space can be jaw-dropping or vibrant featuring eclectic objects. Equally, a holiday villa on a Greek island serves a different purpose than a family home in Riyadh.

Every client has different needs, comes from a different cultural background and projects a different style. Every client is unique and we, as designers respect those elements, yet at the same time we are also looking to design and create something that transports the clients - and that’s exactly why we love our profession so much. We are thrilled every time we create the first mood board for a project and start afresh from scratch.

We are always looking forward to the next thing that we can contribute to - an exciting collaboration, a new interior project, or a beautifully designed bespoke product. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team at info@studiomiaki.com.
